Enrich Your Curriculum:
Classroom Workshops for Students
Our workshops engage students in singing, songwriting,
creative movement, and the use of a variety of instruments, while reinforcing curriculum elements in math, social studies, science or language arts. Teachers are invited to collaborate with our professional teaching
artists to bridge core curriculum with our interactive workshops.
Studies have shown that music strengthens academic skills, and these
partnerships will show you how!
Our Artist-Educators are trained and accredited through LTTA.
Some student feedback:
“I didn’t know I could sing like that. Wow!” - Student, Gr 4
" I learned a lot about beats and alot about songs. I think there should be more visits.” - Student, Gr 4
“I enjoyed everything from beat to rhythm
from the first week to the last.” - Student, Gr 5
“I think this was very fun to make our own songs. One thing that I disliked was we
didn’t have that much time. COME BACK SOON.” - Student, Gr 5

Teacher Workshops
Feel more comfortable using the powerful tool of music to
enhance your classroom, and engage your students in experiential learning. Enliven your
teaching by learning creative techniques from our expert instructors.
We've created a series of "Musical Me" workshops for educators: focusing on
increasing each teacher's personal comfort level with using music in the classroom - encouragement and confidence building at its best! Our artist-educators offer a guided connection to your musical life experience, and
together we explore the application of music as an effective classroom tool. You'll get practical ideas with hands-on applications to help you
integrate music into your teaching strategies. Musicality.ca presents workshops
for teachers suitable for in-service days, professional conferences, summer institutes, and after-school professional development.
Teacher feedback:
“I have more musical background and memories than I realized. The ideas were so
'hands on' and experiential - true “discovery” learning. Thank you for a wonderful
morning, from recovering our memory to sharing your talent and applying it to our
profession as teachers.” - Teacher participant, Rainy River District School Board Summer Institute
